TOOWOOMBA TRIP 2011

After first overnight stop at Tamworth then headed off to Inverell, important stop off in Barraba for morning tea break by the river.
Found the Caravan Park near Lake Inverell quiet and our site spacious during our stay

Glen Innes Caravan Park plenty of room very quiet park during our stay with the occasional wild life hooping through


Standing Stones Glen Innes interesting formation and the strange myths & legends surrounding the stonesStanding stone representing the McLaren Clan


A few quiet days spent at Storm King Dam (Stanthorpe) with other Lotus Caravan couples
Toowoomba Festival of Flowers certainly was beautiful the colour of the gardens especially after how they have recovered after those terrible floods earlier this year, hard to believe when we stood in parts of Toowoomba too think how high and strong the flood waters were


While in Toowoomba visited Cobb & Co Museum numerous wagons & buggies including a horse-drawn caravan very interesting display of our history


While in the Mt Warning district visited Crystal Castle set in a peaceful tranquil location had morning tea in coffee shop beautiful outlook over the valley



A few days spent at Mt Warning Holiday Park, a couple of causeway crossings OK if no heavy rain

Stay at Ballina created a few tense moments with hail storms fortunately no damage
Country Music Festival in Ballina during our stay, Lennox Head junior line dancers very colourful with precision dancing


Over night stay Dawson River Caravan Park before heading home
